Committee Activities
Each year, at the close of the grant we take a look at the progress and evaluate how the coalition is doing. At the end of this year, both the breast and prostate committee completed their projects. It is a good time to evaluate the committees projects and make adjustsments. It is recommended that the topic cancer committees which work on public education join together and become the Community Education Committee. The Professional Community Education Committee is going to become the Professional Education Committee because they are focused on professional events. Palliative Care Committee will remain the same and the coalition is looking to develop the Healthy Lifestyle Committee. Any members that do not agree with these changes should contact Angela Bailey as soon as possible. Sign-up sheets were passed around for members to sign up for a committee.
Several projects are already taking place and several suggestions have been made. The following projects have been divided up into the appropriate committees. This does not mean the committee has to do the project, only it is where it has been placed as of now. The committee will ultimately decide which projects they want to work on and may also decide to work on something not listed below.
